~ABOUT US~
In 1989 a few people in Southern Il decided to start a club dedicated to the preservation of antique farm tractors, equipment, and stationary engines. It was decided to have a show to display and operate them so the younger generation could see and not lose the history of the vanishing old farming ways.
A date was set, the first weekend after Labor Day every year. The show always falls just between the end of the fairs, and the start of harvest in the Southern Illinois area. Soon it grew into one of the largest tractor shows in the area. It has been over 20 years and we are still going strong. We have a museum building on the Marion County Fair Grounds that we are constantly working to improve. One day it will house many items from the past that portray history in the farming way of life.
YOU DON'T NEED TO HAVE A TRACTOR OR ENGINE, JUST AN INTEREST.
NEW CLUB MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME, SEE ANY CLUB MEMBER.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES: $15
WE MEET THE 3RD MONDAY NIGHT OF EVERY MONTH AT 7:30 AT THE MARION COUNTY FAIR GROUNDS.
